There are many interesting facts about Frederick Douglas that impressed me. He looked for hope and never fell down. He put his head held up and did what he wanted to do. He researched for his dreams and his accomplishments.

He had lot courage in fighting for his dreams in equality of all people. The most interesting thing is that he was able to change some minds about slavery, he opened up some people, and got them to think, about how they were treating their slaves, that they have done this just because of the color of their skin or that they feel superior to them because of that.

I think he should be remembered throughout history because he has inspired many people along the way and is still until this day. Today we face similar problems. He is an important part of American history because he helped fight for equality of people. He represents a part of what America has become. He was so low and now he’s so high. He brought himself so high that he is recognized with such amount of importance. He can inspire others maybe not or the same case, but to fight at least on what they believe in.

American history leads a long pathway to our future because without the past there wouldn’t have been a future. People are very strong part of our society. Without these people who inspired us to stand up, there would be hope and help for one another.
