Saturday Night Peter

A review of Peter Kay’s new book.

Written in his own unique witty style, and following on from The Sound Of Laughter, Saturday Night Peter is the second instalment in Peter Kay’s autobiography.

This time we are treated to his memoirs charting his rise from compering at The Frog and Bucket, being the warm-up man for Michael Parkinson’s show, to the final night of his own record breaking sell-out Mom wants a Bungalow arena tour.

Uproariously funny and interspersed with hilarious family anecdotes, (particularly the one about his Nan and her reluctance to pause her Sky+), and tour stories featuring the antics of his long time friend, tour companion, and Max and Paddy sidekick Patrick McGuiness, this is simply a must-read for everyone and will surely sell enough copies to afford Peter’s mom a second bungalow!
