Are you a voracious reader? This one is for you. Perhaps you do not like to read much. This one is for you too since there are many audio book links here.
For those with access to the internet but not having extra cash to buy lots of books the internet is a godsend. There are many sites where you can read the full text of books online for free. There are even those where you can download the ebooks you want in various formats. Those with iPods, Kindles and the like will find the following list a treasure trove of books and audiobooks that can be had for free. Here are twenty of the top sites where you can read or download books for free. The PageRank of every site is given to let you have an idea of the site’s standing with Google.
1. www.bibliomania.com/ – This site places emphasis on Literature-based books. They say that they have “800+ texts of classic literature, drama, and poetry together with detailed literature study guides.” (PR7)
2. www.books.google.com/ – This highly rated site from Google has millions of books to peruse. You can download the books as well. (PR9)
3. www.ccel.org – Search through this site and read religious classics. They have books by the Church Fathers to John Wesley to the Bible to even a Hymnary. Click on an online piano with your mouse to find out what song has that melody. You will both hear and see the notes displayed and they will search for the name of that song or melody.
