Age Before Beauty

A great novel.

Generally, works of fiction are not worth reading.

However, this is certainly not the case in Prayers For Sale a new novel by Sandra Dallas.

This novel brilliantly captures place. The whole book occurs in Middle Swan a small mining town. Here everyone knows each other. A widow named Mrs. Comfort befriends a young woman named Mrs. Sprinkle who is three times younger than Mrs. Comfort. Mrs Comfort provides wisdom and prayers for the tragic loss of her child. Mrs. Sprinkle lost a child as well. she tells her stories and shares her wisdom in sometimes humorous ways.

In this book, there is a great emphasise on quilting as there is not much to do in a small down. There are two antiques mentioned here with the quilts.

At the conclusion of the book, misfortune is turned into bountiful fortune. This book is a work of fiction. There is a lot of realism if you know the background and have a country flare.

Some research went into this book because Sandra Dallas is from a metropolitan city. Before she started writings novels such was a business writer. She made it her business to write a great novel. This is a wonderful novel on the power of friendship. It is beautifully crafted in both form and charm.

Sandra Dallas just won an accomplished fiction writer award for this work. You see that it is well deserved. A fine piece of writing fiction or not.
