All You Wanted to Know About Happiness
For many, happiness is the ultimate goal of life. We are searching for more wealth, love, power, fame, and security. Most of the times, we are misguided due to lack of self-confidence and clarity of our finally goal.
I were looking for a motivational and spiritual book at the bookstore here at SM Manila. Many spiritual gurus would tell people that there are two pathways of life: pathway of good and pathway of evil. Some of them turned into religious idiots because of their extreme doctrines. In conclusion to this, we all have free will to choose to become good or bad.
The best-selling author Vikas Malkani is an internationally renowned motivator and metaphysical teacher. He is an expert on human relationships and practical spiritual and has lectured worldwide on these subjects. He achieved numerous awards for his works in the fields of consciousness and human relationships.
Lesson I learned from this book with basic application of my own situation:
- We are not obligated to help other people. We help other people because we have feelings, and it is in our instincts to elp them.
- Our inner consciousness will give us a warning or a hint what we are going to do f the needs arise.
- Being happy is one of the greatest challenge in lfe. It takes full determination, persistence, self-discipline. To be a mature person is to be a happy person. It is to be contented on what we got rather than on what we have not.
- We are in control of our own happiness as we control thoughts.
- To be happy is a decision that can make a difference in your life. It is to choose to have preferences for way things would be and to decide to be happy if our preferences are not met.
- All small stuffs are not really big deal. Therefore, we have to let them go.
- We all considered imperfections to become our wors enemies. Therefore, we need to eliminate th need for perfetion in all areas of our lives, then we can appreciate the real perfection inf life itself.
- At the start of the day, you have to bless it because it will never come agin. Keep practising your attention on the current.
- Live your life now so you will not regret afterwards.
- Value your worth because you deserve love and respect.
- Understand separate realities of different interests, personalities, and cultures.
- Patience is a virtue. It involves of being an open-minded.
- We are able to love ourselves, then we are capable to care for others.
- Slowing down your responses and becoming a better listener helps you to become a more peaceful person.
- Whatever you do, do it because you choose to do it and you love doing it.
- You can avoid people and situations that upset you because yo choose to be happy.
- When you feel low sometimes, for whatever reason, remind yourself that this ill mood shall pass, then it will.
- Relaxed people can still be super achievers because relaxation and creativity can go hand in hand.
- Listen to your feelings because it tells you something that life is not an emergency unless we want to make it complicated.
- There is a power in our own thoughts. Realize that power, and use that power to achieve success.
- Positive thoughts attract positive energy. Negative thoughts attract negative energy.
- Our childhood beliefs cause our urge to explore outside our comfort zone. It will enable us to connect with our own truth so that we can experience a new way of looking at life.
- Move out of our comfort zone from time to time and keep an open mind.
- Do not be anxious about life. A worry free life can help us to achieve inner peace.
- Take responsibility for your lfie. You can create changes that are necessary to become happy.
- Get out of relationships that do not support your emotional needs
- Meditation is a major pathway to the soul. It is a powerful tool to have self-expansion and inner growth. Through meditaion, we can achieve levels of mental clarity.
- Create joy in your life, then you can conquer the world.
