There is a few spoilers in this but not enough to make you not want to read it. The books have different front covers so the same book will have many different covers.

First of all i will introduce the main characters:

• Artemis Fowl – He is the main character, He is 12 in the first book but  is ultra intelligent. His father is a criminal master mind and Artemis wants to follow on the family tradition. His family is wealthy and lives in “fowl manor”.
• Butler – Butler is Artemis’s personal bodyguard. Butler is not his proper name but the name of his family. Every Fowl has had his own “Butler” to look after them since they were born.
• Captain Holly Short – A fairy who is in the LEP. (Don’t want to ruin anymore)
• Mulch – A tunneling dwarf who is into stealing and theft.
• Commander Root – Commander of the LEP and friend of Holly Short

The LEP are the police of the fairy world. These fairies are not like from fairy stories they have hi-tech equipment and are much more advanced than humans.

Artemis fowl (book one)

In Artemis Fowl, Artemis is first introduced to the fairies. It starts by him and Butler getting the fairy book, which every fairy owns, of a fairy. This book contains all the laws and traditions of fairies. With this book Artemis learns alot about the fairies and even their language. With the new learnt knowledge Artemis kidnaps a fairy, who is captain Holly Short. He holds her hostage and the LEP come to get her back. This is where the book starts to get better. There is numerous attempts by the LEP to get Holly Short back. With many different tactics being used even a troll! But i do not want to spoil the book so that is all i am going to say.

Artemis Fowl: Arctic Incident (Book 2)

This book is based on Artemis trying to find his father who had disappeared when his ship sunk. However the fairies are also having problems. There is a goblin gang who have some how got hold of illegal weapons and the fairies believe Artemis is behind it. But they discover he is not and so ask for his help but knowing Artemis he wants something for his help and so asks them to help find his father and so the book follows to plots, trying to get rid of the goblin gang and trying to get Artemis’s father back.

I’m going to stop here because i do not want to ruin the series for you. There are 4 more books which are:
