Bring a Revolution in Your Life – Will There Actually be Something Called Revolution 2020?

Chetan Bhagat, in his book Revolution 2020, has mentioned Revolution 2020 as a periodical newspaper, that aims at bringing a revolution in India that would change India and bring about a total revolution and reformation by the year 2020. After I read the book I was struck by this thought that will India actually be changed and reformed by 2020? Will there actually be a revolution that brings about a better change in India?

In the book, Revolution 2020, Chetan Bhagat has this character, Raghav Kashyap who is an IITian and a journalist, who has come out with a newspaper to broadcast the people about the corruption that is going around in India and then create mass awareness amongst people so that a change would occur for a better cause.

It is 2012 now and media plays a very important role in mass awareness in today’s era. We have the various medias, the internet, social networking sites that has made it very easy for mass communication to occur but has it brought a change?

Politics and Corruption in India goes hand in hand, still till date, poverty, hunger and unemployment exists in mass in India instead of so much development India has witnessed. Things are getting more expensive, the education system, employment, getting more competitive and the population of India reaching its heights. It is true a fact that a revolution can begin, to change and reform India but who shall begin one?. In the 17th century a renaissance and reformation began in Europe, Industrial revolution occured and now they are one of those most developed nations. Now, will one revolution begin in India too?

It was just recently that a controversy had started over public discussing matters related to politics, the Team Anna strategy and had been decided by Indian government to disable search engines like google to show results pertaining those matters to public, by literally taking away the freedom of speech and expression from the Indian people. I guess that something really unacceptable and preposterous which would bring no development in India and would make the people more dumb and give no rise to growth and awareness.

I personally believe that the world has become a smaller place, and things are much more easier to do. With the ability to read, write, see and feel, one can easily share their views and opinion for awareness amongst people. With online media nowadays being so strong, easy and a fun place to be, using social networking sites and blogs one can express their views, thoughts and opinions in public and then bring about a change in India.

But who will bring about the change? The revolution has to start somewhere by someone? Still waiting for who that someone is? It should be withiin you? and you means everyone. Everyone should bring about a change in their own lives. A change that would bring about a better lifestyle, a better living and a better future for everyone of us. Time has come when you should actually act like an educated person, not just a literate one. You may have lots of degrees but what about qualifications? Make yourself a modern outgoing person, and modern in the sense up to date to the current scenario of life in India, away from obsolete thoughts.

We Indians know everything still we do not do anything. We knows things are wrong this way still we don’t care. People know garbage should be dumped in dustbins still one has the habit of littering it around. Small changes in everyone’s life can bring about a huge change, so think and go ahead to bring about a revolution in your life, a revolution for your country and a revolution for the world.
