Difference Between Reality and Fiction
Have you recently read some fiction and thought Gosh, can this be real? But what, if that is real and has already happened somewhere or will happen in near future. Doesn’t reality and fiction seems to be distant cousins? Lets explore the relation between them.
Have you ever notice that Fiction is nowhere near the realities? No matter what we have seen in movies, Reality always came out winner. Did we ever expected 9/11 that too from bunch of fanatics who patiently lived with us and in end used our plans to crash into WTC. Horrendous and unimaginable! But reality.
Can you try to imagine something which is not part of this world? Just give a try! Try imagining aliens! Have you seen any alien movie? They all have two eyes (sometimes 10 and more), all have legs, some even have wings.. the point is all have something which we can see in real. Have you seen any alien movie where Alien doesn’t live on oxygen, but they live on Iron for general metabolic activities. Nah! Can it be possible? Never! you will say exactly those words.
But does that not only mean that we cannot imagine even fiction which in actual cannot be possible. This in other words means that fiction is in reality always inspired from reality. And above all reality is more bizarre than fiction in every sense. All the cannibals’ movies are in fact more or less borrowed from harrowing Texas chain saw incident. And more we read about cannibals we find the no fiction we read is near to the real activities they do just to satisfy their hunger. In fact we set some benchmark after reading some fiction that sometimes exceeds in the extent of the reality. But the more reality gets exposed the more horror or more bizarre it appears. Even Dan brown in his every novel always keep on exposing reality that exists around us and we find in awe that WHAT HE IS SAYING.. IS IT TRUE? And why not? Anything can be possible? Whatever we are reading in whatever shapes and sizes, even claims that they are the work of fiction but Human imaginations has limitation and it gets reflected after a limit.
To live in this word and to understand the world, God has given us some senses
a) Skin for Touch
b) Eyes for seeing
c) Ear to hear
d) Tongue for taste
e) Nose for smell
We all use these senses to imagine. We are so much bounded by these senses that we cannot imagine any Alien who cannot see. Though we forget to understand that eyes don’t see, they capture and brain has something which actually build that images and help us to see. Hence our imaginations never ever deviates from realities or Fiction are something between two axis of realities.
But biggest question is how we can even imagine things or even draw Alien face. We have seen so many ugly faces but how do we know people live on another planets and so on. I am not debating that Aliens are fiction or real. I am assuming that they are fiction, but how in the world we have picturised them. ? Have you ever observed someone speaking inside you? Someone constantly speaking.. chatting.. telling you this and that. Sometimes despite what you want to do, if speaking man inside you want you to do something else, no matter how much resistance you show, you will in the end will do what He wants. Then who is this speaking man. Some will say, your Consciousness, intuition or God or whatever. Only thing is there is someone who told us that .. Dude THIS can be possible? And you believe that though THIS doesn’t exists but you cannot deny it. And thats how fiction takes birth.. and perhaps to be overtaken by more fantastic reality. Now I don’t want to get into Who is this speaking man, but what I am saying is, though fiction can be much far from reality but it has its own controlled environment maintained by reality. In this controlled environment someone tells us dude.. imagine that and you start imagining and in next second it shapes first into fiction. And as next step reality converts that fiction into something more real. In fact fiction is always real no matter what it is? Hence I want to conclude , that no matter what you read, what you suggest and claim so many things are impossible to happen. But remember here you are just imagining and somewhere it is happening or has already happened. Fiction cannot stay too far from reality, they are just two parts of same coin. It is hard to link them but you need to take a little rational look. Hence sometimes too much of exposure to reality can harm us and we can safely say “Ignorance is bliss”.
