Fahrenheit 415 took place five centuries into the future. Guy Montag was a firefighter. In his time firefighters did the opposite of what they are called. They did not fight fires. They lit fires. In fact, they lit fires to any houses that contained books. And this only affected the inside of the house because the structures of all houses now were fire proof. Books were burned because they changed the emotions of many people and made them sad or mad. People felt that without books there would be no problems. Only some books, magazines and manuals were allowed.

I think these events impacted the time period because people were not allowed to read or get education anymore. There would be no more advances in any subject. People would only get dumber as time went on and soon it would be hard for people to live. This world could end the world in the near future.
