Handle with Care

A review of Jodi Picoult’s latest book, Handle with Care.

Handle with Care, by Jodi Picoult is one of the most gripping tales I have read in a long while.  Ms. Picoult is quite the literary talent.  I don’t think there is a book of hers that I have read that I haven’t found enjoyable.

Her latest offering, Handle with Care is the story of a young girl with a rare bone disease.  It is told from the perspective of her mother, her sister, and her father.  The impact of the disease on this young family is heartbreaking, as is the resulting chaos of a “wrongful birth” lawsuit.

As is always the case with Picoult, this story is very well written, and offers more than the ordinary.  There are twists and turns that will leave you in tears, and with a smile on your face.  It is well worth the read, if ever you have the chance.
