Hector Zeroni: Is a young boy who is the real person who stole the sneakers. Also it is the great great great grand son from the woman who doomed Stanley Yelnats the first.

Zig-Zag is a boy with blond hair and an attitude. He never talks but at one time he fought with Stanley over Stanley’s trade with Zero that was Zero digging Stanley’s hole for reading and writing lessons.

Squid is one of the boys in Camp Green Lake. There is not much is mentioned.

X-ray is the leader of all, he has some privileges nobody has. He has been in camp greenlake more time than anyone, he was sent for selling bags of oregano hustling people and making them believe in that it was bags of marijuana. This made his costumers to die of cancer, then he was caught.
Summary
Stanley Yelnats is a boy who gets put into camp green lake as a punishment. Camp green lake is nothing but a wasteland desert. At camp green lake you have to dig a hole every day all day. Stanley digs holes for about two months before his friend zero runs away. Then he steals the supervisor’s car. He crashes into one of the holes and starts running away. After a day of walking in the desert. He finds a flipped boat in the middle of the sand, Zero was in it. They kept walking in search for “the thumb of god” which is a myth of a rock pile which has water and vegetations at the top. After a while they find it. They climb it . After being a week up there, they decide to get back and dig one more hole. They go in search for the hole and find a treasure chest in it. His lawyer bails Stanley and Zero out of camp.

Author
Louis Sachar was born on march 20 1954. He is a writer who is known for “Sideways stories From wayside school” book series and “Holes”. Louis Sachar was born in East meadow, New York. He was not interested in reading or writing until he reached high school. When He liked the work of Kurt Vonnegut and from Salinger. After graduating , Sachar went to Antioch college and then was transferred to The University of California. Sachar married a woman called Carla Jean Askew, an elementary counselor while he was working there, in 1985. They live in Austin, Texas , and have a daughter which is called Sherre This was on January 19, 1987.
