Students learn many things from books. In fact books are considered as the best guides for scoring more marks in exams, to prepare essays and to prepare assignments. Students cannot study without books.  

Apart from education books, students can also read story books, novels, jokes, comics and encyclopedias.  There are no absolute guidelines for a student to read a particular book. But some of the tips that help students to select a good book are:

Firstly, a good English language is essential.  Because good English language helps a student to learn and speak better English. Secondly, the story line or the subject matter should be very smooth running as too much of crime or research may disturb the mind of a student. Thirdly,  the author must suggest that the book is suitable for the reading of age group of student.

For better reading and understanding of a book, a student must also choose descriptive authors, whose books can offer best support and guidance for students in studies, social life and in managing one’s own self.

It is true that books give lot of knowledge, but if a wrong book is chosen that is not suitable for a student, it will surely cause harm to the mind of a student.  Further parental guidance is a must while making a selection of a book. Parents must check what kind of books children  are reading and must provide a list of authors whose works are ideal for students to learn many things in life.
