The book is about a secret criminal island

I think the genre of the book is action, and excitement.

The writing style is easy to understand, I got much out of the book because of that. It’s a very exciting style.
“A river of insects, perhaps 20 feet wide, the individuals swarming together like a single giant creature, devouring everything in their path.“

The book is after First World War, but before the Second World War. Therefore, computers and cell phones aren’t there. They were going on schools away from their parents, James is going on Eton.

James Bond: He is brave and clever and wants to solve any problems about criminals. He is going on the school Eton, but is away with his aunt in Mexico.
Precious: She first hated James, but changed to be brave, and she also promised to not cry anymore. She was American but lived in Mexico. Her father was Jack Stone.
Mrs. Glass: She was after something special in the safe to Jack Stone. She was the leader of an ice-cold, deadly gang, who could shoot everyone.
El Huracán: He leaded the crime island. His father Gaspar was saved by the god Huracán, and therefore he gave his son that name. He was hard, but he liked James Bond.

He got me believe in the characters because, he describes them so much, and gave them their own personality.

The book starts with an island that was the paradise for criminals. There were only some few rules, and the most important was to never leave. James Bond was down in Mexico with his aunt Charmian. He was left in a house with two spoilt kids who lived there, after their father and his aunt left for a while. He found out that some criminals were after the safe in the house, because it was something special in it.

I liked the book very much, because it was so exciting. That who was great was that he already was in Mexico, so I didn’t needed to wait to they travel down there. There were almost always exciting and I wanted to read the next page.
