No Two Ways About It
Conquering Money, Success, and Sex to serve GOD.
A little over a year ago, I was visiting my grandmother and she recommended a book that I should get. I could tell by the look in her eyes as many elders possess great wisdom that she suspected I was not living right. I, on the other hand felt I was living a noble life with a purpose. She wanted me to have this book so much that she was about to give me hers; then when I spoke with her again about the correct title and author of the book due to it being so difficult to find, she stated she would copy the pages of the book at the church one evening and send the copy in the mail. I could not find the book anywhere, and being an avid reader I knew if I could not find this book it must be a jewel. I finally had to order the book and the first order never arrived after a wait of 10 weeks.
I finally received the book after ordering it for the second time and when I received it there was no cover; a portion of the authors name was torn off; and the inside page was signed by Irene Nase 6/27/68 $1.95. This treasure was none other than “No Two Ways About It” by Dale Evans Rogers. The book talks about the three pressures we face along life’s way whether we like it or not (Money, Success, and Sex). I can assure you those are three pressures of life that many people battle on a daily basis and some never conquer.
The book then proceeds to talk about having a map, which is the Bible, and a guide, which is Jesus Christ. I believe grandmother was trying to tell me as she always have that there are No Two Ways About It; you either love and serve GOD with all you have or serve Money, Success, and Sex. That’s it, black and white, No Two Ways About It. John Oxenham says that “every man decideth The Way his soul shall go.” God made us and leaves us free to choose which way we shall choose. As my elders were always trying to explain to me and my cousins the importance of choosing GOD first, last, and always, it was difficult at times to understand what that meant as a child growing up. However, as a man and as I continue my journey I know there is only one way about it. GOD BLESS!!!!
