In Scorpia Alex is mainly trying to find out the real truth about what had happened to his father. Alex had known that his father had worked for MI6 in the past as a spy but he never knew exactly how he had died.

As you go into the book Alex makes a BASE jump onto a building called Cansanto. Yassen Gregorovich who was an assassin told Alex to go to Cansanto to find out what had happened to his father. Alex jumped onto a building and then he found himself in contact with Nile. Alex had met Nile earlier in the book when Alex was braking into a mansion where he found information on Scorpia. Scorpia was another group of spies and assertions. Nile took Alex to a building where Alex was introduced to Mrs. Rothman. Mrs. Rothman was head of Scorpia. She showed Alex a tape that had been recorded when Alex’s dad was shot.

Now Alex new what had happened to his father. Now Alex decided to work for Scorpia instead of MI6. Scorpia sent Alex onto his first mission. It was to kill Mrs. Jones. Mrs. Jones was the head of MI6, she also was the one Scorpia had told Alex had killed his dad. When Alex dresses up as a pizza delivery boy to get past the security at Mrs. Jones apartment he goes into her room and she is standing there. She tries to talk Alex into not shooting her but Alex does not listen. He shoots at her. Alex did not know that they were actually separated. There was a thin piece of bulletproof glass between Alex and her. Once Alex fires and the bullet bounces off of the glass a lot of security people start running into the room. They put handcuffs on Alex and take him off to an unknown place.

The next day Alex has a meeting with Mr. Blunt who is also head of Scorpia. Blunt talks to Alex about how Scorpia has this weapon called “The Invisible Sword”. He explains to Alex that thousand of children will die if Alex dose not help. Mr. Blunt and Alex are driven to a meeting with the prim minister. They are trying to figure out how Scorpia plans to kill all of those children.

Alex was sent back to Scorpia but with one extra thing. MI6 had given him a retainer. Not just any retainer but one that would transmit his location back to MI6. Alex was told to find out where Scorpia was going to transmit the signal that would kill thousands of children. Mrs. Rothman took Alex there. He was shown around and told how all of the students would die. When he found out he activated the tracking device on his retainer by pressing a button with his tongue on the bottom side of the retainer. A few minutes later hundreds of men with guns stormed into the building shooting everywhere and at everyone. They were sent by MI6.

Alex noticed that the hot air balloon with the transmitters on it was starting to get away. He grabbed onto one of the ropes that was hanging form the balloon. He grabbed onto it a climbed up. He managed to get up there but so did Nile. What Alex just found out was that Nile was scared of heights. Alex started to tell Nile how high up he was and that made Nile loose his balance and fall to his death. Alex wanted to stop rising so he dismantles the hose leading to the burner for the hot air balloon. When the hose broke the entire basket was on fire. Alex held onto the balloon as the basket with the transmitters fell to the ground and crushed Mrs. Rothman. He holds onto the balloon until it drops him about 20 minutes from his home. He goes home.

The next dad Alex is asked to go back to MI6 to talk. Mr. Blunt tells him how the video was a fake and that his father was not killed by MI6. He tells Alex that they went on a trip on a private jet and that Scorpia had found out. Scorpia had planted a bomb in the luggage and that was how Alex’s parents were killed.

As Alex is leaving the MI6 building a guy, from Scorpia, shoots him with a gun on the top of a building. As he is dieing he sees his mom. His mom (who is dead) comes and hold Alex’s hand. Then Alex smiled and closed his eyes.
