Start From Now – a Book Review

Chris Gardner wrote the book The Pursuit of Happyness, he has written another book, Start from Now, it should be required reading.

What a good book!  It is completely different than his first book, which was an autobiography.  Both books are relate-able to anyone who has fallen and had a tough time getting back up.  Both books are truly inspirational on how to have the courage to stay in the fight.  There are so many self help, success driven, business related books that will help with every day life.  Mr. Gardner’s book has many inspirational stories and quotes that make you want to hit the ground running.  He has a way with words that makes anything seem possible.

He gives clear direction and tasks to help change any dull task into something worthwhile.  He takes the simplistic directions from an earlier generation into something that makes sense for today’s challenges.  It is the kind of book that you can read in a couple of days or linger on a few pages a day, over many weeks.    I don’t usually recommend books, movies, or shows to the general public, because our tastes are so diversified.   I believe this is a book that everyone can read and retain some meaningful piece of inspiring direction.

If you have a teenager that needs a bit of a push, a friend or relative that is stuck in the mud or someone that needs to feel good for a change, buy them this book
