This is a summary of the lost hero (spoiler alert, it reveals all suprises) if you want to read something without the suprises read my reveiw of the lost hero.
In the beginning of this book our main character (Jason) awakens on a bus on his way to the Grand Canyon without any memory of his past life. He then meets two “friends” named Piper and Leo who say they have been at the wilderness school, a correctional school for kids who have done some bad things, with him for a couple of months, the hot one, Piper, even claiming to have dated him. They soon arrive at the famous landmark but before telling a teacher of Jason’s amnesia or getting much of their worksheet done a wind spirits begin to attack. Soon Piper falls off the sky walk and Jason jumps down using his powers of flight that he had no idea he had to bring Piper back. He then fights off the wind spirits but loses the class chaperone who is also a Satyr. Two trainees from camp Half blood then come and take the trio to camp. It turns out that Leo is the son of Hephaestus and has the power to resist and create fire, Piper is the daughter of Aphrodite and can perform charmspeak (a rare Aphrodite child trait in which said child can convince anyone else to do anything the child wants them to do with just the power of that child’s voice) and Jason is the son of Jupiter with many powers. Leo finds a mechanical dragon which he fixes and uses as his own. Our trio now is assigned a quest so that they may find and free the chained goddess Hara and stop those who have captured her. Their first stop on this quest is the house of Borus, god of the northern winds which is a room in the Fairmount castle hotel in Vancouver. They might with Borus and so plan the route of their mechanical dragon to find the wind spirits to be offerings to aneleous god of the winds. They follow the winds to Chicago and into a department store run by Medea (a deceased sorceress). After a harsh run in with an even harsher gal they leave on their dragon with their coach along with the spirits and are fine until Festus (their dragon) falls into a mysterious yard. The yard in fenced in and our characters are un-able to break out so they break into the house and spend the night. This turns out to be the house of Midas, a deceased materialistic king who did not relinquish his gold touch or learn anything from his bad experience and tries to kill the three. Eventually our band of heroes get to the mad god of the winds but are thrown out. Now Piper tells them that her father is trapped on mount Tam (a little ways away from the place they are actually going to, the wolf house). The father is rescued and they get to the Wolf house in the nick of time to rescue Hera. In the end of it all, Jason remembers all of the things he had forgotten, the plot is realized and Camp half blood finds out about its roman counterpart. Believe it or not this book is even more complicated that it sounds.
