After a painful divorce and a deep emotional falling out with his family, Peter Forthright, a manager in the tenth year of his career, is profoundly changed that he begins noticing things he never did before, which puts him in perilous circumstances he must find a way out of.
Peter starts seeing things in his work that aren’t apparent to others, as his detections start with fine but important considerations to the business, and grow dramatically in significance when he unravels a complicated problem that questions the financial systems of the multi-national company he works for. His career becomes a series of movements to different positions, which have been secretly planned by people planning to usurp his gift, as he picks up on what’s happening but initially keeps it to himself to learn more about the clandestine plan.
People begin looking at him differently for his newfound traits, and though he develops celebritylike status, the attention and fame isn’t shared with him and goes on behind his back. Gradually, he loses control of his life, and begins telling people about what is being done to him, which forces him into a desolate life for the denial of what is really happening. Until one day, he sees a person that offers a chance to get away from the destructive life he’s confined to.
The mysterious woman has a remarkable likeness to a woman he once knew, and he discovers that she, and others like her, posses the ability to guide him past the harmful envy of those wanting to take advantage of him, and his gift. The inexplicable people befriend him, and as they reveal their insights about his circumstances, they tell him he is bestowed with the gift of having anything he types on his computer come true.
Overwhelmed at the prospect of getting his life back, he taps into the potential of his newfound Alladin’s lamp and achieves successes he never imagined. And as he does, he falls in love with his beautiful benefactor from the mystical group, when he is saddened to find out that their being together will threaten his relationship with them.
Will Peter be able to keep his successful life and his true love, or will choices be forced, causing tragic sacrifices?
