The Best Book You Have Ever Read….what Would It be?

I love to read.  It gives me pleasure and, depending on the book, it can teach me new things.  I have read many books in many different genres.  I have read good books and bad books.  You can tell a lot about a person by what they read.  So, I would like for you to share with others the best book or books you have read and would recommend to others.

In the past I have enjoyed reading fantasy novels.  The best series I have read is The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan.  A close second is the trilogy The Lord of the Rings by Tolkien.  I have enjoyed others but those two have been the only ones to really capture my imagination.  I have read some of the classics also (although it has been quite a while ago).  Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea by Jules Verne was very good.

As a Christian, the best book I have ever read is the Bible.  It is the best because of who it tells us about…God.  The Bible provides us with the knowledge that we are sinners in need of a Savior then it tells us who the Savior is and what he has done for us.  I recommend everyone read God’s word.  It will be time well spent.
