The Bison King
The Bison King is a book about Ron Micheals and his saga of false imprisonment and allegations of murder. The book uses trail documents from the trail and clearly shows that Ron Micheals and the other two defendents in the case were falsly accused of murdering Jeffery Hammill. The authorizes in Wright County, MN used Dale Todd a man with anxiety issue to ultimately convict Terry Olson for a crime he did not commit.
The Bison King is a book about a young man who was the Homecoming King in his home town of Buffalo, MN back in the late seventies. Ron Michaels, is falsely accused of the murder of Jeffery Hammill twenty five years later along with Terry Olson and Dale Todd. Micheals’ is deathly ill and have financial issues due to his illness and by the grace of god finds a lawyer willing to take on his case.
The book uses documented interview of Dale Todd to point out the “ask again and again”; then it will become truth interrogation of a man who is plagued with anxiety issues. The local authorities in Wright Country, MN and The BCA cold Case unit used Dale Todd’s anxiety to ultimately convict the third defendant in the case, Terry Olson.
The book reveals the Todd’s ultimate confession on the stand that sets Michaels free from the saga of hell that Michaels and his family have endured. However the damage to Mr. Michaels live and family has been done.
The book at the end gives reference to Terry Olson who is an innocent man currently in prison for a crime he did not commit. Efforts are on going to bring him home to his family and right a wrong committed by the local authorities. The State of Minnesota should be ashamed of it legal counsel, its judges, and the criminal system that allows innocent men go to jail for the sake of saving a cold case unit.
