The Book of Abisan Part One: Inceptivus

Two worlds, one fate, an amazing adventure. That’s really what it comes down to in Claire Evans book The Book of Abisan. Claire Evans is a fellow author who I met through one of my favorite independent authors Samuel Z. Jones. I have to say I can’t wait for the second book to be released!

The Book of Abisan Part One: Inceptivus by Claire Evans is about a witch named Yfrey and a woman named Jacques. These two women come from two completely different universes but are tied together in such a unique way.

Yfrey and her people are being persecuted by a tyrannical ruler and they seek the help of The Roghnaithe. Yfrey learns she is The Conduit and her quest continues into another plane of existence. It is interesting how this unfolds.

Jacques is a tough woman but hides behind a barrier so as to not get close to anyone. This seems to work for her but once she meets Yfrey things change. A new world opens up before her and all sorts of questions arise.

This book is interesting. It’s a unique play on fantasy and I can’t help but think that Ms. Evans had inspiration for this book from a certain piece of mythology as well as celtic culture. Well, I consider it mythology but a lot of people today don’t. Still, the story is a great one and I am looking forward to the next installment.

I rate The Book of Abisan Part One: Inceptivus by Claire Evans a 10 out of 10.
