Twilight originally started as a novel. It was written by Stephenie Meyer and was turned down by 14 agents before being published as a hardback in 2005. It is a vampire romance story aimed at young adults. Isabella is a human, Edward is a vampire. Their love is forbidden. It is a real love story however the blood thirsty vampire element makes it interesting for guys and girls alike. The book is cleverly written and young adults and older adults would enjoy it.  It was the bestselling book of 2008 and sold over 17 million copies in 37 languages. Twilight was adapted into a film in 2008 and stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattin son as lovers Isabella Swan and Edward Cullen. The DVD was released in March 2009. The second book, New Moon, is currently being made into a film which is said to be released into cinemas in November 2009.
