When John Baxter is conducting recruiting interviews for a new business venture, the middle-aged entrepreneur stumbles onto a bizarre and chilling discovery that will have him ostracized from friends and family, as he singlehandedly pursues his finding which threatens the security of the world.

While interviewing job candidates for a new business venture, John notices a pattern in some of the applicants who have striking resemblances to people he knows. He continues studying the look-alikes, and pieces together evidence indicating that the strange beings are not from our world.

His friends and family dismiss his warnings thinking he is looking to deeply into coincidences, as he gradually becomes a recluse in his pursuit of the truth behind the peculiar people. And then, on one eerie night, with the skies covered with flashes of lightening, despite there being no storm, an event that had only been seen once before over eight hundred years ago controls his thoughts, guiding him to a secluded location outside the city.

In an old broken down barn, he experiences a revelation he never would have believed had he not seen it for himself. His encounter with the beings in the deserted barn shows that the people of the world are not alone, and that the future of mankind is no longer the fate of its people. When leaving the next morning, he considers what he’s learned and realizes the world must know of what is going to happen.

His life changes drastically as he becomes obsessed with finding someone who will believe what he is saying, and he is ostracized by virtually everyone he knows leaving him alone in his quest. Constantly dodging smears and attempts to block his communications, by people that have been misled to corroborate with the mysterious beings, he is able to get the ear of a few people in the underground media. Trusting no-one, the trio work stealthily to get his proof out to people, as they fall in and out of the unexplainable monitoring of the strange beings, who have entered all levels of society.

A rogue news bulletin, that will expose the mysterious people and their dubious scheme, is planned to be sent out over radio and television channels, when the plan is initially sabotaged raising doubts whether the message will ever get out. Will the emergency message be heard by people all over the world, or will it be stopped, permitting the otherworldly people to continue their veiled plans for the planet.
