William Wordsworth

wordsworth together with Samuel taylor coleridge published lyrical ballads in 1798 which marked the beginning of Romantic Era. Wordsworth married Mary Hutchinson in 1803 and they hay 5 children of which two of them died. Then he moved to Rydal Mount. in grasmere where he spent the rest of his life with his sister, Dorothy,his wife, Mary and his children.He wrote many poems there.

William Wordsworth died by re aggravating a case of pleurisy on 23 April 1850, and was burred at St. Oswald’s church. His widow, Mary published his lengthy autobiographical “poem to coleridge” as The prelude several months after his death. Wordsworth was considered by many as the greatest poem in the world.
