The Amazing Spider-man : Back to The Original
This a review of Marc Webb’s adaptation movie of The Amazing Spider-Man which released on July 03, 2012.
The Amazing Spider-Man movie which was released on July 3, 2012 is nothing short of an action packed thrill ride with one of the most popular and well known super hero icons since the 1960’s.
Marc Webb’s take on the web crawler has brought movie goers back to the beginning of Peter Parker’s transformation into Spider-Man. Only this time, the storyline is more true to the original comic books that Stan Lee and Steve Ditko have made.
For instance, his ability to shoot extremely strong spider web strings from his wrists comes not from his arms like in Sam Raimi’s adaptation. Instead, it comes from a wristband device that he creates with the use of his genius intellect.
Also, Peter Parker’s first love interest was really Gwen Stacey. In the comics, Gwen Stacey dies because of Green Goblin who throws Gwen atop the George Washington Bridge. Spider-Man catches her with his spider web but as her pulls her up, he realizes that she is dead. Enraged, he fights the Green Goblin and almost kills him but chooses not to. Green Goblin is then killed by his own glider. As we all might recall, this scene is similar to Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man but instead they use Mary Jane and Goblin lets him choose between her and a group of school kids.
Besides Peter’s love interest, I believe that Andrew Garfield did an amazing job portraying Spider-Man. He fits the role of Peter Parker more than Toby Maguire. From his physique which is more of an acrobatic teenager’s to his attitude and persona as a sort of misfit loner type, Andrew is by far a better actor choice who follows more closely the original idea for Peter Parker.
Overall, the movie was good. For all the spidey fans that follow the comics, this is a great portrayal and tribute to one of Stan Lee’s great super heroes. If you have already watched the previous Spider-Man movies, you will find the movie slow at some points because of course you know that he’s going to turn into Spider-Man and go through the whole charade.
But if you’re a fan of Super Hero movies, then this is a movie I definitely recommend. There will definitely be more Spider-Man movies to come which is a good sign for our friendly neighbourhood hero.

I totally agree with you, handsome!
I enjoyed The Amazing Spider-Man, it had a much better acting performance this time around too, less hokey than the previous films.
