If you’ve ever read The Clique series, then you’ve seen the models on each book’s cover. Intriguing? Yes. But who are they? Who’s supposed to represent who? In an interview, here’s what Lisi Harrison, the author, said,

“The girls on the covers are models, meant to represent a clique, not the Clique. It’s up to you to decide based on my description and your imagination what Massie, Claire, Alicia, Kristen, and Dylan look like. So if the girl in the middle looks like Alicia to you, then fine, she’s Alicia. And if she doesn’t then that’s fine too. Whatevs.”

While some of you may enjoy choosing and guessing yourself, if you’d like my little insight, then read on. I will try to update this article as new books come in!

From left to right, I’ll say who I think the person is, and why. In the Summer Series books, I won’t say who, because it’s obvious the girl on the cover is supposed to be. But I’ll have a little section at the end where I’ll voice my opinions…

The Clique

This one was pretty easy, most of them couldn’t be argued.

Left: Massie – Out of Massie, Alicia, Dylan, Kristen, and Claire (I’m 100% assuming it’s not Layne), Massie best fits this description. She’s brunette, but not really dark like Alicia’s supposed to be. She’s pretty, like Massie’s supposed to be. She also seems apart from the other two girls, which could represent when Massie finds herself without friends in the book.

Middle: Dylan – The most obvious reason is because she’s a red-head. She’s also whispering to the girl next to her, probably gossiping, which makes her look more like a follower (like Dylan) than a leader.

Right: Kristen – She’s blonde, and also “gossiping.” Even though Claire is blonde, here “Kristen” is with “Dylan” and “Massie,” which shows she’s not a loner, like Claire is for part of the book. And in the story, Kristen is always with Dylan, and sometimes with Massie, but Claire is only with Dylan without Massie there.

Best Friends For Never

This one was a little bit harder. Since there are three blondes on the cover, and only two in the book (Kristen and Claire), I’m assuming one of them is Massie.

Left: Kristen – She’s blonde, and looks nervous, perhaps because she’s scared Dylan will get the guy she likes. Her hairs also up, which could represent her sport-side.

Middle: Claire – She’s blonde and skinny, like her description (remember how she eats all those gummies!). She also isn’t as pretty as the other two, and in my opinion, I think that Claire isn’t supposed to be as pretty as the pretty committee (even though she joins later). She has a look of superiority, which could represent how she stood up to Massie, and how she’s close to becoming PC.

Right: Massie – She’s very pretty, and looks high matientence, like Massie’s supposed to be. She also seems sort of demanding, like a leader.

Revenge of the Wannabes

This one was pretty easy, with a debate on who’s the Left model.

Left: Olivia – I know she’s not PC, but she’s friends with Alicia, who she follows, and she’s a major wannabe, who wants revenge (or at least Alicia does). She’s also pretty and blonde. It could also be Claire, because she finally became PC, and is important in this story for standing up to Massie and having all those troubles with Cam, but I think the model is too pretty to be Claire. It also doesn’t seem like that’s the face Claire would have. Some may also argue it could be Kristen, because she’s blonde, but Kristen isn’t really important to the story, or at least not anymore than other characters like Dylan.

Middle: Alicia – She has the darkest hair, and looks somewhat Hispanic, like Alicia’s supposed to be. She’s also in the front (barely), which would make sense because she takes charge in the book, and about half of it is even written in her point of view. The model also looks a little pissed, and demanding, sort of like Alicia is in this book.

Right: Massie – She’s pretty, and all glossed up. She also doesn’t look to happy, but why would she? Massie just lost her friends to an ex-friend wannabe.

Invasion of the Boy Snatchers

This one could be two different pairings for Left and Right.

Left: Nina – I know, once again, not PC. But it makes sense, because of who I think the other characters are. The model seems confident like Nina is. She could also be Alicia, which is a very reasonable guess, since Alicia is mostly happy in this book, and is with her friends. But personally, I just think it’s Nina.

Middle: Dylan – No-brainer, because of the red hair. In the book, Dylan spends a lot of time with Nina, instantly accepting her, and not trying to get rid of her like Massie.

Right: Kristen – Like Dylan, she also accepts Nina right away. The model is also blonde, and doesn’t look super-high-matientence like Massie would be. She could also be Claire, who has boy problems in the book, and the model looks like she’s having troubles. And I guess she could also be Massie, because Massie seems to have trouble with Nina in the book (but then the Left model would have to be Alicia).

The Pretty Committee Strikes Back

Sort of hard because of the Left and Middle models, they could represent a variety of characters, but sometimes the choices wouldn’t make sense…

Left: Claire – Ok, to be truthful, I don’t know who she represents. It could be Olivia again, but the model, in my opinion, isn’t that pretty. Claire is very important in the story, which is why she could be on the cover. Also, the model doesn’t look very happy, and neither is Claire with all her Cam troubles.

Middle: Alicia – She’s not dark-haired, but it makes sense. Alicia is extremely important in the story, and the model is closer to the Right model than the Left model. If Claire is the Left model, then it makes sense, because Alicia doesn’t exactly love Claire in this book… I guess she could also be Kristen, or even Massie, but Kristen isn’t important in the story, and I don’t think she’s pretty enough for Massie (though she does exclude confidence, like Massie and Alicia would.)

Right: Massie – She’s very pretty, a looks like she has a secret. Maybe MUCK?

Dial L for Loser

Ok, I don’t want to be mean, but these models don’t look that pretty at all! It was easy, though.

Left: Alicia – Looks diva-y and has sort of dark hair. Alicia’s a main character in this book, too.

Middle: Massie – The model is brunette, and looks like she’s hiding some anger under that little smirk. Which is how Massie would look in the book. Sure, she’s a correspondent for a hawt day time talk show, but Kuh-laire got a lead in a movie! No way would she show her jealousy, but it’s obviously there…

Right: Claire – She’s blonde, and important in the story. The model also has a neutral look on her face, which could represent Claire’s many ups and downs in the book.

It’s Not Easy Being Mean

This one was pretty easy, since the models look similar to Dial L.

Left: Massie – She’s pretty, although she looks a little young, and doesn’t look to happy. Massie isn’t that happy either in the book, when she finds out LBRs could become the new Alphas.

Middle: Claire – She’s blonde, and looks a little lost. That could represent her mixed confusions on whether or not to move in the book.

Right: Alicia – She looks like the Alicia I chose in Dial L. Other than that, it could also be Layne, since she’s important in the story. But I can’t imagine Layne hanging out with Massie (even if Claire was there), or wearing a bikini.

Sealed With a Diss

This one was really hard. They’re all brunette, and none of them really look like anyone!

Left: Claire – Yeah, she’s not blonde. But the model seems troubled, like Claire would be because of Cam and Nikki. But the model could really be anyone.

Middle: Massie – She seems like the leader, which Massie is. The model also looks worried, and Massie is, too, in the book because of her Chris Abeley trouble! But she could really be anyone. *sighs*

Right: Dylan – Her hair seems uncontrollable, like Dylan’s usually is, but she’s not a red-head. The model looks happy, like Dylan would be, since she has two guys crushing on her! (Even though she gains 5 pounds for each). And like the rest, the model could really be anyone.

Bratfest at Tiffany’s

Very easy! Thanks, Summer Collection!

Left: Dylan – Red-headed, with straight hair, just like Dylan in the book after she gets her hair straightened. The model also looks happy, just like Dylan would be, because Dylan is one of the few who actually wants the boyfast.

Middle: Massie – She’s brunette, and looks like the Massie Summer Collection model. The model’s hair also looks like it took a lot of time, and the model also looks like a leader, like Massie is.

Right: Claire – Looks like the model in Claire Summer Collection, and is also blonde. Also unhappy, but wouldn’t you be, too, if you’re ex-boyfriend had a baby with a different blonde hottie? 

P.S. I Loathe You

Pretty easy, again, because of summer collection.

Left: Alicia – Dark-haired, just like Alicia, and also looks like the model in Alicia Summer Collection.

Middle: Claire – Blonde, just like Claire, and also looks like the model in Claire Summer Collection. But also could be Kristen, just because she’s the other girl from TPC along with Alicia and Dylan who “dumped” Massie at the end.

Right – Dylan – A red head, just like Dylan, and also looks like the model in Dylan Summer Collection.

Boys R Us

Um, yeah I officially think the Summer Collection models are the official models.

Left: Dylan – red-haired, summer collection model. Her hair makes her look older.

Middle: Alicia – dark-haired, summer collection model.

Right: Massie – brown-haired summer collection model.

Summer Collection

Claire - Also looks a little old, but is semi-cute, which is fine, since I don’t think Claire is as pretty as the original PC. Looks fun and sunny, just like the Claire from Florida would look.

Kristen – I think the model looks too old, and sort of ugly! But maybe it’s just this picture…

Massie – The girl, at least in this picture, doesn’t look prettier than average, and her hairdo is sort of ugly.

Alicia – Even though many complained she’s not large-chested (come on girls, when you complain, you sound like some perverted guy!), she’s pretty, and looks sort of Hispanic. She also has a mysterious thing going on, much like Alicia.

Dylan – I think she’s pretty cute, and would represent Dylan well. She looks sort of young, which is ok, since she’s the more immature one of the group.
