The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom is a heartwarming story, beginning at the death of the main character, Eddy. Eddy died at an old age but not because of his old age. He sacrificed his life for a chance to save a little girl, which is not know if the girl is saved until the end of the story. Eddy soon enters Heaven and meets five people. The first is a blue man he never met before. However, to Eddy’s surprise he did meet him for a short period of time and it greatly affected Eddy’s life and even more so the blue man. The next person Eddy meets in Heaven is his war general. Eddy having forgotten about him speaks with him for a long time. This shows him what really did happen to his leg, and more about being captured in the Philippines. Next, Eddy meets Ruby a lady who explains many mysteries about his father and his past.
