Wuthering Heights tells the tale of Cathy and Heathcliff. They grow up together. Heathcliff, is taken into their house, Wuthering Heights. They grow up with her brother who is abusive, especially after her parents die. One day Cathy meets the Lintons, a very rich and proper family. She’s the opposite of proper but she decides to marry Edgar Linton. Edgar falls madly in love with Cathy. Unfortunately Heathcliff has feelings for her as well and he runs away. Cathy and Edgar start living as a married couple, living on Edgar’s property. Heathcliff returns years later and marries Edgar’s sister Isabella.

He doesn’t love her at all. He marries her for a cruel reason unknown to anyone but him. Cathy is pregnant, sickly, and very depressed. Heathcliff comes to her room while Edgar is away, and they kiss and make up. They are in love but the very next day Cathy dies after giving birth to her daughter, Catherine. Isabella runs away from Heathcliff. Catherine starts growing up. Isabella is dead and her son Linton comes to Edgar’s house but Heathcliff takes him away. Heathcliff later forces Linton and Catherine to marry. Linton is a terrible person and very sick all of the time. They marry. Edgar dies, and Catherine is very sad. Linton then dies. Catherine is left living with Heathcliff and Hareton, Cathy’s brother’s son. Hareton and Catherine are in love and she is educating him when the book ends with a glimmer of hope.
