Plum Lovin’
Find out how Stephanie Plum turns from bounty hunter to matchmaker in this second in between the novels novel by Janet Evanovich.
In Janet Evanovich’s second in-between novel Plum Lovin’, Trenton bounty hunter Stephanie Plum must play matchmaker to collect her bounty. Not only that, she must assist and endure the help of Diesel, the guy who holds more mystery than Morelli and Ranger combined.
Stephanie must take on five cases from Annie Hart, the pushy matchmaker. She will gladly turn herself in if Stephanie can find love for her clients before Valentine’s Day. On top of that, she must assist Diesel in finding the guy that’s after Annie Hart-and giving her a bad case of hives.
This story leaves a lot open for familiar Stephanie Plum antics as well as a little bit of the supernatural provided by Diesel. The mystery man doesn’t appear very often, but when he does, Stephanie has three handsome men in her life to keep in line.
With fewer than two hundred pages to act out all their shenanigans, the book seems to move by quickly. And it seems too convenient for Stephanie to be able to find matches within her troubled cases. Having to take on her sister’s boyfriend and try to get him to overcome his fear of weddings was a surprising and entertaining twist.
Overall, the book satisfies Stephanie Plum fans with a break from her bounty hunting duties and a glimpse at how she really spent her Valentine’s Day. It only leaves readers wanting one thing: more Diesel.
