Miami Zombie’s Girlfriend Suggests He Was Cursed with Voodoo or Drugged
The man dubbed the “Miami zombie,” after he ate the face offanother man this weekend had a loving and caring girlfriend he lived with. Today Rudy Eugene’s girlfriend is speaking out about his last hours of life saying either someone drugged him or put a voodoo curse on him to make him act in such a gruesome manner.
This case has captured the nation’s attention as this so called“zombie apocalypse” is one of the most gruesome crimes ever seen by the police force veterans in Miami. A naked Rudy Eugene got on top of a homeless man and proceeded to eat his face on a Miami highway off ramp in broad daylight. Police could not get him to move away from the victim, according to the Huffington Post. When Eugene was ordered to stop by the police, he looked up with pieces of flesh still hanging from his mouth and growled at police like an animal. He was shotand still wouldn’t stop taking chunks out of his victims face. The police officer who was first on the scene was left with no other choice but to stop Eugene’sattack on the victim by shooting him until he was no longer a threat. Eugene died from the gunshot wounds.
Gruesome pictures of the crime scene aftermath and the victim are seen here on SMSEO. Eugene, who lived with his girlfriend , got out of bed Saturday morning early, at 5:30 a.m. He told her he was going to meet with a “homeboy.” The girlfriend, who wishes to remain anonymous, said she found it strange that he was rummaging through the closet so early in the morning. He gave her a kiss and said “I love you” before leaving. He didn’t say who he was meeting or where he was going, according to the Miami Herald.
That was the last time she saw Eugene, but about an hour after he left he had called her and saidhis car broke down. He said he’d be home, but he would be late. This was the last time she talked to him. When Eugene failed to come home later in the day, she felt uneasy and got in her car and went to look for him, thinking he was stranded someplace with a broken down car. She failed to find him after driving around all the places that he frequents. She constantly called his cell phone, but she got no answer. She saw the news about the “Miami zombie” later in the day, but the thought that this crazed man was her boyfriend never crossed her mind. Come Sunday she started to call all his friends and family members to see if theyknew where he was, but no one did.
It wasn’t until Monday morning, when she got a phone call from one of his family members that she learned he was dead. She stilldidn’t know that he was the man who ate another man’s face off, which was now all over the news. Monday afternoon she left her house to go grieve with the rest of Eugene’s family members and that is when she learned that her boyfriend was the man the mediawas calling the “Miami zombie.” She said this is not at all like her boyfriend, who besides smoking marijuana, does no other drugs. She has her own theory of what happened to Eugene that day. She believes he was unknowingly drugged or was under a voodoo curse that someone put on Eugene. She is not Haitian like Eugene, so up until this point in her life she didn’t believe in Voodoo. Eugene carried a bible with him everywhere he went andhe read from it often.
She said something very out of the ordinary happened that day and she doesn’t want her boyfriend labeled the “Miami zombie,” as he was a loving and kind person.
