Skyscraper Clutter
A song I wrote.
Screaming in and out of skyscraper clutter
So much dust polluting my lungs
I’m underneath the last leaf falling
Was their another way it could begin?
I remember how I used to love you
Yeah you’d kiss me all the time back then
And I guess I must of met an eye lid closing
Was that the only way that it could end?
I wrapped you up in autumn when the water wouldn’t wash you
You gave me scarlet shards cut from the sky
Then it got heavy when gravity came through
What was that look in your hazel eyes?
We used to dream about the mouths that we laughed at
And our future that was sure to grow
But when the walls crashed that’s when we were ending
What was it that you thought I shouldn’t know
The loud clouds are passing fast
The loud clouds are passing fast
It’s the static in the air that I’ve been missing
The loud clouds are passing fast
Liked it
