This book was Harry, Ron and Hermione’s last year at Hogwarts. Ultimately they decide not to go that year. Instead they go off in search of a way to defeat Voldemort.. Later in the book Harry, Ron, and Hermione find themselves back at Hogwarts while on the brink of war with the death eaters.

Shortly after Harry runs into his old teachers and professor Snape (the new headmaster) appears. The other teachers and Snape fight and Snape flees. Meanwhile Dumbledore’s army (led by Neville Longbottom) prepares the castle for war, and evacuates all students under 17. In the end of the fighting Harry and Voldemort face off in the Great Hall and Harry triumphs over Voldemort and kills him once and for all.
