Battling with deadly creatures, dueling with dark wizards, and adventuring through Hogwarts has made Harry Potter an international sensation for both girls and boys. Although there have been many books written in this series I have chosen the sixth book, which, in my opinion would be the best to read. I would recommend this book to either a boy or a girl mostly due to the fact that this book is very action packed and it gives you an I-don’t-care-if-its-two-in-the-morning-I’m-still-going-to-read attitude. It captures your interest through every page until the end.

This book is a fantasy novel based on the life of a boy named Harry Potter. He is a normal boy living in normal times…. Or so he thinks. After many strange events including a meeting with a snake at a zoo, Harry finds himself in a whole new world that had been hidden from him for 13 years, the wizarding world. Now that Harry has finally realized his destiny as a wizard he is offered a chance to learn more about his surroundings and expand in the wizarding world at Hogwarts School of Magic. He accepts little knowing that he would be fighting for his own life within his first year there.

As Harry goes through his first year he becomes acquainted with many new friends such as Hermione Granger and Ron Weasly. He also meets the headmaster, Dumbledore and many teachers including Hagrid, and Professor McGonagall. Yet he is also introduced to the many enemies like Malfoy and Crabbe. But worst of all he learns of Lord Voldemort the man that had killed his parents but could not kill him. He had lived the wrath of Lord Voldemort, greatly feared dark wizard with but a scar to remind him of it. Voldemort sought revenge though and tries to kill Harry several times throughout his stay at Hogwarts.

Now he is coming into his sixth year at Hogwarts, new challenges await him in the halls of Hogwarts. The times have grown darker since the full return of power with Voldemort and a tide of evil is coming to Hogwarts. It is getting more and more violent, deaths are popping up all over the place and Harry grows away from his friends knowing that he will once again have to fight Voldemort. He now knows he is in the most danger ever and even has an Order called the Order of the Phoenix used to protect him and fight the minions of Voldemort. How will Harry come out in this endeavor? Will he prevail as always? Will he lose any friends along the way? Read for yourself.
