Nightrise is a fantasy-fiction book from the famous author Anthony Horowitz. It is the third part of the Power Of The Five series. Anthony Horowitz is best known for his Alex Rider book series and has written many famous adventure stories. Nightrise was published April 2, 2007 and is going to be followed by Necropolis: City Of Dead when it comes out some time in April, 2009.

The story tells about two young twins, Scott and Jamie Tyler. Scott and Jamie are two mysterious twins that have no idea of their origin. They have a special ability that makes them able to communicate telepathically sending messages with their minds. Their foster parent does not treat them nicely, and they are forced to work. They don’t know if they have any real parents, they don’t know about any relatives. The only thing they know is that if they want to survive they have to stick together. They are doing a magic show in a “magic” theatre owned by Don White, their foster parent. But when Colton Banes and Kyle Hovey appear, the boys have no idea how their life is about to change.

When Don White can not force Scott and Jamie to work anymore, he sells them to the two men from the company “Nightrise”, Colots Banes and Kyle Hovey. When some men from “Nightrise” come to try kidnap the twins at night, the twins manage to escape by the help of Don White’s dog. The men set off to try capture the twins and manage to shoot Scott in his leg letting Jamie escape. Jamie escapes to a friendly woman and stays with her. He starts to have dreams about Scott been in danger and seeing a tall man in his dream warning that they will kill Scott. Jamie sets on a journey to find his brother, but he has no idea what he is going to face as he learns he is “one of the five”.

Anthony Horowitzes books are all incredible, and this is definitely one of his best ones. The deaths of the characters and the sudden plot changes can really confuse you.
