Review: Bridge to Terabithia (2007)

A good movie to watch with your friends.

Bridge to Terabithia came out in 2007. I didn’t hear about it until the beginning of 2008. A student my sister tutored had told me about it. He said it was a very sad movie. What’s sad about some Disney movie?

The next time I went to the video store I rented it. It was…great. A very touching story about a beautiful friendship. This film made me realise how much I should value my friends and that every moment counts. After that I actually went to the shops and bought it.

A quick summary. Bridge to Terabithia is about two children befriending each other and finding a place to belong. Okay, if you didn’t get that, it’s about a boy Jesse Aarons (Josh Hutcherson), whose family doesn’t appreciate him. He befriends the new girl Leslie Burke (AnnaSophia Robb) and together they invent an imagination kingdom, Terabithia.

Okay. I know it doesn’t sound like much but take my word and go watch it. Rent it. Buy it. Whatever.

Best wishes!
