The Rangers Apprentice Series
This is my synopsis/preview of the Rangers Apprentice Series by John Flanagan. By far one of the Best series I have ever read.
- The Rangers Apprentice Series
- Rangers Apprentice: The Ruins of Gorlan- Will is an orphan in Redmont feif. He has lived off the hospitalit of Baron Arald (battlechool) and the other crafts masters, Lady Pauline(Scribes), Halt(Ranger corps), and 1 more i cant remember. Will wants to go into battleschool so badly that he decides to sneak into the Barons office because he cannot wait to find out. He climbs the vertical wall of the castle 2 stories and sneaks into the barons office. But when he reaches for the list, he is grabbed by Halt, a ranger. Rangers are very secret people, and are believed to have magical powers because they are so good at unseen moving and archery. Halt decides that Will should be his apprentice. But when Morgorath, The Lord of Rain and Night (the bad guy), unleashed 2 of the most feared creachers in the Kingdom,. The Kalkara, will is plunged into an adventure beyond his wildest dreams.
- Rangers Apprentice: The Burning Bridge- Morgorath has decided to go on the warpath against Arluen. But when his plans are leaked the Araluens are confident that they will destroy him once and for all by luring his army out into the open. Will, Horace and Gilian, are sent on a diplomatic mission to celtica to invoke the mutual defense treaty. But hen they arrive in celtica every settlement they go to is abandoned, and the hills are full of outlaws. When a young girl appears claiming to be the maid of a princess they find out that the Wargals have been carrying off celtic miners, and have bottled up the rest of the celts in the southern peninsula. While Gilian returns to the kingdom to bring this confusing news, will, Horace and Evanlyn decide to find out what is really going on. But what they find out is too devastating to imagine.
- Rangers Apprentice: The Icebound Land- Wil and Evanlyn have been captured and put to work in Skandia. Fortunately Jarl Erak has taken a liking to them and i able to keep them in a better position, working in the Great Longhouse of Ragnar. But will is assigned to the most horrible assignment, THE YARD. Cold. That is all Will feels in the yard, his body is numbed to all else from the cold. So when an unknown “friend” comes and supplies him with something that makes him warm again he becomes addicted. Now Evanlyn must escape, dragging the drugged will behind her, she must keep them both alive until will is weaned off the drug. But can they survive the Skandian winter high in the mountains?
- Rangers Apprentice: The Battle for Skandia-FInally Will wakes up from his drug induced state, but only to find that evanly went missing a couple hours earlier. Even though he is extremely weak he follows the unknown people to their camp. When he sees that they intend to kill her he stand up and defends her with his hunting bow. But the men are expert archers, and if not for a surprise visitor, will and Evanlyn would have both died. Halt and Horace found them! But after greetings and pleasentries are exchanged they discover that their mystery people are the mysterious Temujai, the Riders of the Eastern Steppes. They are the most efficient fighting force in the whole world and if skandia is overrun noone is safe. So will and Evanlyn must go back to Ragnak’s hall and work with the Skandians to save the world.
