Naruto is a fun manga. I’m not one of those diehard fans who think it’s the best manga ever written. But it is fun, I prefer it over the anime because for some reason, I just can’t get into the anime, even though I usually watch the anime over reading the manga, perhaps it’s because I just don’t want to take as much time watching it when it’s easier for me to read it.
The artwork is also good and the action scenes were very well done. It’s still a very nice manga to look at and the story is interesting and fun, although I’m not going to actually buy this one for my manga collection since I can get it from the library for free.
As a note to parents, Naruto is recommended for ages 13 and up because of language, violence, blood and fanservice. It would recommend reading a few volumes before deciding if you want to buy it for anyone under 13.
I do enjoy Naruto, but I’m a very casual fan of the series. I can recommend it to anyone who watched the anime, but if you don’t want to watch the filler, definitely pick up the manga. If you’re a diehard fan of the anime, buy it, if you’re a casual fan like me, borrow it from the library. It’s worth your time, but try it first before deciding if you want to buy it, because either people really love the series or really hate it, me, I’m in the middle with enjoying it without buying it.
