Naruto is set in a world of ninjas. The main character is a boy named Naruto Uzumaki whose life goal is to become the leader of his village, the Hokage. Naruto at a very young age was sealed with one of the nine-tailed beast, the nine-tailed fox. Because of this he has been the center of much hate and anger from the village he lives in. Naruto has progressed through the series as an accomplished ninja gaining the trust and admiration of his village. Because of the demon sealed within he is being hunted by a ninja group called Akatsuki seaking to remove the fox ending Naruto’s life. Throughout the first Naruto series, Naruto is just starting out as a ninja and is paired in a team with Sakura Haruno (his secret crush) and Sasuke Uchiha (his biggest rival and a so-called ninja genius) under the instruction of a Jonin (high-ranked ninja) named Kakashi Hatake. This team endures many challenges and faces many other ninja. As the series progresses Naruto and Sasuke become best friends, but Sasuke is consumed by his goal to kill his brother for wiping out the Uchiha clan. When Sasuke realizes Naruto is becoming stronger at a faster rate than he is he leaves the village to study under the Sannin Orochimari, a missing-ninja from the village pursued by Naruto and a group of specially picked ninja. The two clash with Sasuke the victor, but he spares Naruto’s life even though he could gain a power that would help him kill his brother. From then on Naruto vows to find Sasuke and return him to the village. Naruto leaves the village after his encounter with Sasuke to train with the Sannin Jiraiya for two and a half years. When Naruto returns, in Part II of the manga and the anime series Naruto Shippuden, the group Akatsuki sets its plans in motion to catch Naruto and the other people who hold demons and extract them ending the hosts life. Naruto now plans to kill Akatsuki members to get to Itachi Uchiha, who joined after wiping out the clan, to find Sasuke. When Sasuke kills his brother he finds out a truth about him from another Uchiha who convinces Sasuke to join Akatsuki to help capture the beasts and help of Sasuke’s new goal to destroy the village.
