Curly Girl: Review
I purchased this book a little over a year ago; when I was have a crisis with my curly hair. It was dry, breaking off, going from shoulder length to a short bob!
Having tried to find some kind of help to rid my hair of what was taking place. I was beginning to think that all the years of straightening my hair were taking their toll now. I later learned it was not just one thing but a lot of different things that were contributing to my hair problem. Nonetheless I thought I would leave a review of this book so that perhaps it might help someone else.
Inside the 139 plus pages are ways to care for curly hair so that you too may love having curls instead of dreading them as so many really do secretly. It’s no secret that some women that have straight hair would love to have curly and vice versa.
You can find out which type of curly haired girl you are, along with which products will help and which might be disastrous. There are home remedies for scalp treatment, moisturizing treatment for your curls, and a lavender mist to revive curls among them.
There is information on cutting, styling and coloring curly hair, along with a small section just for kids! You even have space available at the back of this book to keep a curl diary. And should you need a recovery program, there is even a 12 step one within the pages.
This little book gave me quite a few ideas to help with the taming of the curly mop. Informative and concise and loaded with pictures to help demonstrate what is being discussed.
