I thought that her work is very good.  I have to say that she has to be one of the top African American writers in this country’s history.  She takes you through love, prison, and social beliefs.  I can understand why her work is studied in many colleges throughout our country.

This book is good for anyone wanting to see a good form of poetry.  Her words not only express her life as an African America, but also as a women.
