Am I The Last One to Hear About The hunger Games Books?

Where to find Books.

Am I the last one to hear about the “Hunger Games” books?

I am an avid reader. I read all genres but prefer Science Fiction. Eagerly I await the upcoming books from my favorite authors. What are my favorite authors? S.M. Stirling, McCaffery – Both Anne and her son Todd, Orson Scott Card, John Ringo, Marilyn Zimmer Bradley, Asimov… is there a pattern here? I like hard Sci Fi best but it’s not the only thing I read. I read Harry Potter to my kids, bought the Twilight set before they were thinking about a movie. Yet I have never heard nor seen the “Hunger Games“ books.
I have been complaining about all the vampire, werewolf and demon books that have over taken the books shelves. I made a rare trip to Barnes and Noble and couldn’t find anything to read. The closest Barnes and Noble is a two hour drive from home. If I had seen the “Hunger Games” I would have at least read the back cover.
So I asked where are these books? Well the booksellers have started a new practice of having a separate section for young adult/youth science fiction. This is where you find Twilight, Harry Potter, and the Olympiad books. Evidently the Hunger Games are found here also. Gee don’t they realize that grandparents read science fiction too? After all if we hadn’t read Arthur C Clarke would computers have ever been developed?
