Review of Demon Seed, by Dean Koontz

This is a book review of Demon Seed, by Dean Koontz….Review by William Swafford.

This was a good book by Dean Koontz.  It is not a suspense novel like the rest of his.  It is a science fiction novel that he wrote years ago.  It was a good book to read and it only took a couple of days to do so.

A lady’s house is all electronically controlled and a computer with superior intelligence takes over the house.  The computer was built by several men, which one was the lady’s ex-husband.  The computer got into the house by the internet, because it was housed at a near by university.

It wanted her to have a baby that the computer would install its knowledge.  It would eventually grow and become her lover and fill the world with the superior race.  Every child that would be born would basically be the same person, who would be controlled by the computer.

In the end, just like everything else, all she had to do was pull the plug.

The book was written as the computer telling the story.  The computer had to convince the panel to not turn him off.

Great book for Koontz fans and sci-fi fans.
