Aside from loving Eric (pictured above from the television adaptation) Charlaine Harris’s True Blood beats Twilight hands down. Most fans of the vampire fiction genre abhor the cheap teen romance spin and yearn for the good old days when these novels offered thought provoking introspection about the nature of life and death.
