Lullaby

A review of Claire Seeber’s dark thriller.

What starts as a family day out at the Tate Gallery ends in every mother’s worst nightmare.

Jessica is beside herself when she can’t find her husband Mickey and baby son Louis, after much frantic searching she goes home hoping that Mickey will be waiting for her with a cup of tea and a feasible explanation, but there is no sign of him or Louis.

In desperation she reports them missing, but then news comes from the police that they have found Mckey unconscious in hospital, but where is Louis?

This book is a dark, disturbing thriller that you won’t be able to put down as you try to determine both the identity of the kidnapper and their motive. Jessica’s anguish as she clings to hope of finding her son alive as the days tick by is both hearbreaking and gripping and you will be kept guessing throughout, but nothing will prepare you for the dramatic twist at the end!
